Certified Yoga Instructor

Department: Spine
Location: Fresno, CA

Sierra Pacific Orthopedics, the leading full-service orthopedic group in the San Joaquin Valley, is seeking a part-time Certified Yoga Instructor to lead Yoga sessions with our patients.  We are looking for an independent contractor who would be paid through a 1099 agreement. 

JOB SUMMARY:  Instructs yoga sessions with SPOC patients.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Yoga Certification

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • 2 years experience as a Certified Yoga Instructor
  • Strong communication skills with staff, physicians and patients
  • Excellent Motivational skills
  • Ability to create yoga sessions that are safe, effective and engaging

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Planning and creating yoga sessions with variety and purpose
  • Instructing and guiding patients through progressive yoga sessions
  • Correct form and technique so that patients have safe and effective sessions
  • Lead by example by modeling proper form and technique
  • Create documentation on patient performance/progression

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping and stretching.  Some patient assistance will be required. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone and other office equipment is also required.  Employee must have normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

Medical office environment.

 

Compensation: 1099 Agreement
